Is 28,000 Pa a lot?

It is a strong figure for a cordless stick vacuum, and it is the number that decides whether pet hair lifts out of a rug rather than being pushed around on top of it. Treat it as a maximum: the highest mode is the one that draws that, and it is also the one that empties the battery fastest.

Do I need both vacuums?

They do different jobs. The robot keeps a floor at a steady level with no effort from you; the stick vacuum deals with what you can actually see, and reaches stairs, sofas and corners a robot cannot. Plenty of homes run one or the other quite happily.

How long do they run?

The stick vacuum is quoted at up to 55 minutes on its lowest mode, 30 to 35 in the middle and 15 to 20 on maximum. The robot is quoted at up to 60 minutes. Those are the manufacturers’ figures.

Will the robot go under my sofa?

It is 6 cm tall. Measure the gap under the sofa and the bed before you order and compare it with that, because clearance varies more than furniture catalogues admit. Ask us if it is close.

What makes the iron cordless?

It heats on a base station and you lift it off to use it. There is no lead trailing across the board, and you put it back between passes to keep the heat up.

Can the mini washer replace a washing machine?

No, and it is not sold as one. It is for small loads – socks, underwear, a baby’s clothes, a shirt in a hotel – where the alternative is doing it by hand in a sink.

Will the shelf fit my machine?

It is built for standard-sized washing machines and dryers. Measure the width and the space above before ordering, particularly if the machine sits under a worktop.
