Guarantee and safe use

Three years of legal guarantee, and a short page on batteries, water and electricity.

The legal guarantee

Goods sold to consumers in Spain carry a legal guarantee of conformity of three years from delivery. If something does not match its description, or does not work as that kind of machine should, you may have it repaired or replaced, and failing that ask for a reduction or a refund. For the first two years a fault that appears is presumed to have been there from the start.

It is a legal right, it costs nothing, and it sits on top of any manufacturer warranty rather than instead of it.

What it does not cover

  • Consumables: filters, brush rolls, belts
  • Ordinary wear, including batteries holding less charge as they age
  • Blockages, and damage from running a machine with a full container or a clogged filter
  • Damage from dropping, or from use outside what the instructions describe

Batteries

Charge with what came in the box, indoors, and do not leave a pack on charge for days at a time. If a machine is going to sit unused for a season, store it somewhere dry and above freezing at roughly half charge rather than empty.

Every battery holds less as it ages. That is chemistry, not a fault.

Water and electricity

  • Unplug the iron before filling it, and empty it before it goes away.
  • Nothing here is designed to pick up liquid unless it says so. A dry vacuum that takes in water is usually finished.
  • Let the iron cool on its base, not on a worktop or a shelf.
  • The mini washer runs from USB. Use a charger or power bank rated for it, and keep the connection away from the water.

Filters and containers

Empty the dust container before it is full and wash the filter as the instructions say. Most complaints about weak suction are a full container or a blocked filter rather than a fault.

Something faulty? Write through the contact page with the order number, and a photograph or a short video if you can.
