It heats on its base and you lift it off to use it, so there is no lead dragging across the board and nothing to reposition every third shirt. It locks back into the base for storage.
2400 W at 230 V, with steam output of 30 g/min. Three settings – off, medium and max – plus a spray for a crease that will not give way, and an anti-drip system so a low setting does not put water on the shirt. It steams vertically as well, which is the quickest way through a hanging jacket you were never going to iron properly.
The ceramic soleplate spreads heat evenly and slides over everything from cotton to silk without catching. An anti-calc system deals with the mineral build-up that eventually ruins any steam iron in a hard-water area.
